The Texas Coalition for Affordable Insurance Solutions (TCAIS) – representing the major auto insurance companies doing business in Texas – applauded the passage on Friday of HB 62 – a statewide ban on texting while driving – by the Texas Senate.
The following statement can be attributed to TCAIS Executive Director Beaman Floyd:
“With the passage of HB 62 today by the Texas Senate, the state’s major auto insurers are hopeful that the House and Senate can quickly come to an agreement on final language and put a statewide texting while driving ban in the fast lane to the governor’s desk and finally becoming law.”
